Onto the screens (OUDF403)

The Warner Brothers first came into the lime light when there first project was created with the Alice Comedy series about a girl who interacts with various cartoon characters. They also created some of the first animated sound films in 1924 with Song Car-tunes and Dinner Time in 1928.

In 1935 the first puppet animation to film was created, The New Gulliver.

In 1951 colour television was introduced into the world, which is when Hanna-Barbera flaunted Huckleberry Hound. As well as the animated series The Flintstones which was the first animated series on prime time television.

The first hand drawn animation feature was The Tunes created by Bill Plympton. It was nominated for the Sundance Film Festival in 1992 and it was also nominated for The Independent Spirit award in 1993.

In 1995 a fully computer animated film was developed, Toy Story.

2005 A full film created using digital cameras which is also a stop motion style with Corpse Bride.
