Corpse Bride is one of my favourite animations. It is based on a young man (Victor Van Dort) voiced by Johnny Depp. Victor is due to get married to Victoria Everglot until he gets trapped in an accidental marriage with the Corpse Bride when practicing his vows. Corpse Bride (Emily) was murdered years ago when meeting her lover. Emily takes Victor down to the land of the dead, Victor becomes overwhelmed by what he witnesses but Emily is extremely excited about her new marriage to notice. Victor is really desperate to get back to Victoria so he tricks Emily to take him back to the living. When she gets there he leave Emily in the woods to sneak off and see Victoria. Emily finds out and drags him to the dead. Victoria parents are desperate for her to get married to get them out of the money problems there family are in, they arrange her to be married to another man, which is the man who murdered Emily. Victor says To Emily that they should be married properly so they go to the living land to have a proper wedding in the church, this is the where everyone shows up and find out who murdered Emily and then Emily tells Victor to marry Victoria. Emily takes her murderer down to the land of the dead forever.
Corpse Bride was created in 2005,using armature stop motion. The makers made a crank system in order to create facial emotions. The reason as to why this is one of my favourite animations is because it shows a lot of attention to detail. I also love the style as it's not a normal children's animation its darker animation. This helps it to appeal to adults as well as children.
