Mary and Max (OUDF403)

Mary and Max is an Australian clay animation. It is based on pen pals who write to each other for years. This film has won the Annecy crystal award in 2009 and was the best animated feature at the Asian pacific screen awards also in 2009. According to the credits and research I have done this film is based on a true story.

The reason why it love this film so much is the way that it is made as it is a claymation which is incredibly difficult to create but they have made it look absolutely easy with the facial expressions and movements of each character. The characters move so fluently and effortlessly.
