Pin screen animation

Pin Screen Animation was first developed by Alexandre Alexeieff and Claire Parker. Pin Screen Animation works by a white screen that is perforated with thousands of pins, as a light shines on the pins they form shadows which are used in creating the animation. Each pin can be moved in and out of the board to form different shadows. It is the shadow that are the animation. Due to the cost of the PinScreen Device, there is digital Pin Screen animation where there are several computer programmes to create the affect of Pin Screen animation.
