Nightmare Before Christmas

Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my favourite animations created by Tim Burton and Henry Selick. This was one of their first big movies based on Tim Burtons 1982 poem. The film was released under Touchstone Pictures as it was said 'to be too scary for children'. This is the type of animation that would like to create (animation for adults) rather than the typical children's animations.

This animations was created using armatures for a traditional style. There where so many characters created including approximately 400 heads for Jack Skellington too create each expression perfectly. For Sally they used the replacement method to create mouth movements. I n comparison to Skellington, Sally only had about 10 other heads for expressions so as you can see most of the work went into Jack Skellington's head. In the movie it is easy to see how much effort went into each character as it shows so much detail and the expression are almost human like.
