Scene 1: Hansel and Gretel are playing in their garden when. Gretel stares over into the woods across the road with a longing look on her face. A butterfly lands on her nose and her face instantly lights up. The butterfly then flies out of the garden, Gretel tries to give chase as Hansel pulls her back with his arm on her shoulder. Gretel looks at Hansel and Hansel shakes his head at her. Hansel then turns and heads back to his toys. The butterfly then doubles back as Gretel tries to catch with with a look of pure joy on her face. The butterfly then heads off into the woods Gretel does give chase this time as Hansel is distracted. Hansel notice’s when Gretel is half way across the road and gives chase himself.
Perhaps Hansel says no but then gives into her sad look on her face and agrees with her as he is also curious, he can then look back at his home in hope they don’t get caught.
Scene 2: Hansel finally catches up to Gretel deep into the forest. Gretel has lost the butterfly and looks upset. The pair look around and see nothing but tree’s for miles, they are lost. Hansel looks cross and signals for Gretel to follow him, she obliges.
Scene 3: The pair are still dredging through the woods when they notice a strong light. A look of relief cuts across the pairs faces as they head towards the light at full speed. As they approach the light they come to a clearing in the woods with a house. They head to the door and Hansel knocks on it. As Hansel knock on it the door creaks open and the house looks empty. Hansel heads into the house Gretel looks scared and timidly follows her older brother in. Once they reach the kitchen they notice an old lady baking a birthday cake. the old lady turns around and notices the children in her house. At first she looks surprised but then a look of joy cuts across her face. She notices the dirt on their clothes and realizes they have been lost in the woods for some time. She turns back to the cake and cuts two slices of it, puts them onto two places and places them on the dining table. The kids, who are very hungry get a big smile on their face and run to the table, take their seats and stuff their faces with the cake.
Scene 4: The kids are sat in the old ladies room in clothes that are clearly too big for them. The old lady comes into the room with their old clothes. Now sparkling clean, she hands them back to the kids. The get changed back into their clothes. The kids have a smile on their face and make their way to the door. The old lady stops them and points to a board game she has prepared. The kids force a smile and indulge the old lady by joining in her board game.
Scene 5: It is now night time, the kids are sat on the floor watching the TV. Hansel turns around and notices the old lady has fallen asleep with a book in her lap. Hansel and Gretel creep towards the door quietly and Hansel attempts to open. The door has been locked. the pair look at each other with panic stricken facial expressions. Gretel heads for the back door still sneaking but with more urgency this time. She turns the knob but it is also locked. The pair look towards all the windows and notice padlocks on all of them. They have been locked in.
Scene 6: The next morning and the kids are playing the board game with miserable looks on their faces. The old lady interrupts their game by ripping the dice from out of Gretel's hands and begins forcefully putting away the board game. Gretel bursts into tears as Hansel attempts to console her. The old lady scowls at the pair and forcefully points to the sink where a big pile of dirty dishes lie. The kids begrudgingly walk toward the sink to begin washing up.
Scene 7: The kids are finishing the washing up. Hansel is washing the dishes and Gretel is stood on a milk crate next to him drying the dishes. As the pair finish they slowly walk back into the living room. The old lady is nowhere to be seen. Hansel notices the window above the chair is slightly open. He taps Gretel on the shoulder and points to it. Gretel looks scared and shakes her head at him. Hansel heads for it anyway pulling Gretel by the hand along with Hansel scales the chair first. He get the top half of his body through the window opening but his top gets caught on the latch he struggles to get free when the old ladies feet walk into his line of sight. He slowly looks up and meets her gaze, she looks furious. She grabs him by his shirt and pulls him out of the window onto the grass. She drags him back into the house and grabs Gretel as she passes. She sends an inconsolable Gretel upstairs who begrudgingly obeys. She then throws Hansel in the cupboard under the stairs. [The camera stays on Hansel]. A solitary tear runs down his face as she the door shut [The scene goes completely black]. The sound of a latch slamming down from outside the cupboard can be heard.
Scene 8: The door opens as Hansel is sat on the cupboard floor with his legs crossed. The old lady is standing their. Behind her Gretel can be seen dusting the living door. The old lady gives Hansel a (what am I going to do with you) look and hands him a duster. Hansel makes his way out of the closet. All of a sudden flashing blue and red lights fills the room as they come from outside house. Several large bangs hit the doors as a look of fear cuts across the old ladies face as the door slams open the camera pans back to the old lady. She makes a run for the back door in the kitchen and as she passed it hits the book case. A book entitled “how to be a good parent” falls to the floor and the camera focuses on it. A pair of police boots can be seen running past it. The wind from the open door blows the book open.
The page reads “provide for your children” with a picture of a child with a big smile on their face sat at a table being handed a plate of food by a mother with a big smile on her face.
The wind blows to a new page which reads clean up after your kids.

At this point the police officer has caught the old lady as he drags her past the book case again they bump into the book case again when a photo album falls onto the other book. The photo album has the title memories on the cover. As the officer escorts the old lady out of the house he accidentally kicks open the album. The first photo is of a very young girl in a playground. At this point the camera zooms into the photo and a scene plays. A young boy brings the young girl a flower.
The wind blows to a new photo which shows the same young couple as teenagers dressed for prom the scene plays and the couple share a nervous awkward kiss.
The wind blows to a new photo that shows the young couple as young adults getting married the scene shows the pair sharing a much more comfortable kiss at the altar.
The wind blows to a new photo which is a scan of a very young fetus. The camera pulls out and shows the pair in the that shows the pair as young adults, in the doctors office, holding hands with beaming smiles on their faces.
The wind blows to a new photo which is a selfie taken by the male of the couple laid in bed together cuddling. The women has a large belly now and is far into the pregnancy.
The wind blows to a new photo which shows the women mid delivery of the child. The scenes shows the baby being born not crying. The doctors rush the baby out of the room as a look of joy turns into a look desperation on the mothers face.
The wind blows to a new photo which shows a selfie of the couple taken by the female. The female has a forced smile on her face and the man isn't even looking at the camera and has no expression. The scene shows the women checking the digital camera screen and then turning to the man and shouting at him. An argument ensues and the man storms out, slamming the door behind him. The woman break down into tears.
