Disney Interactive

Disney Interactive have had to make 700 layoffs, reducing the number of concepts and are shutting down 'Babyzone' and 'Spoonful' websites. The reasons for this is because they are struggling in the games industry and aren't meeting expectations. They may now be going down just licensing games rather than making games themselves. They are cutting back the amount of games they release to half the amount.  This is quite shocking as I didn't realise they where doing so badly, I thought they were being successful with the amount of games being produced apparently not. I am hoping that they get back on there feet and don't give up on making games but this might not be choice for them.
