Mary and Max

I have talk about this film a lot over the years this is because it continues to inspire me. Any time I need to come up with ideas and so on I will just re-watch Mary and Max, then that enables me to get more inspiration. This time I have taken a look into the colour scheme use in Mary and Max as it is quite dull yet bright. Sepia effect has been used in Mary and Max and that is what I have used in my footage also as it helps to create a more sadistic, lonely atmosphere.  My thoughts were that if it works well in Mary and Max then I should try it out. Before adding on a sepia effect I did experiment with the colour balance on my footage a lot this is so I was able to see an alternative to sepia. Mary and Max was directed by Adam Elliot which was previously mentioned. Mary and Max was released in 2009 and has received various awards such as the Ottawa International Animation Festival award,  Asia Pacific Screen Award and the Berlin International Film Festival award.
